June mini build at the Lego Store
New month, new minibuild at the Lego Store. This month, Geekid built a fisherman.
This is a big scale model. There are 38 pieces, mostly bricks and plates. This is not what Geekid is accustomed to, but he enjoyed the final model.
Aside of the mini build, this was a good day to go to the Lego Store.
As usual, the mini build instructions can be found online until the end of the month.
All the parts are common except the orange fish which was only available in a promotional Friends Polybag and in the Pet Shop (10218). The design is easy to customize. This one is a nice set to learn how to design big figures.
As we go to the Lego Store, this is also a time to spend some money. This month, there are two free gifts. First, a Master Splinter Keychain. Second, Jor-El who is the father of Kal-El, better known as Clark Kent or Superman. This is a promotional polybag as the movie is released this month.
Finally, some lucky people received their Lego Catalogue with a special Chima voucher. I was one of them, so Geekid had the choice between two Speedorz. He choose Equila (70101), the white eagle. This is his first Chima set and of course, first Speedorz.
One more thing. This time I found something long expected in the Paris Lego Store. This is a nice Lego Eiffel Tower. Ok, sorry for the picture quality, all those pictures where taken with an iPhone and not with my usual camera. Unfortunately, I didn’t found the time to talk about the Eiffel Tower with the staff. Maybe next time.
So, who went for the special gifts this month ?
