Your Halloween inspiration
In 10 days from now, you’ll have to be ready for the rise of little monsters. No, Lady Gaga is not coming to your place, but the your young neighbors will be on their cookies hunt for the night of Halloween.
Halloween is a good time for a good feast, party or just hanging up with friends and mocking scary monsters. So you may want to decorate your place like the Addams Family house, prepare the scariest dishes ever, get the best costume.
To find some inspiration and organize my ideas, I find Pinterest to be the best place. I can gather the images I found on the web, share them and look at what other have found.
Let me share with you the trends I found this year.
Pinterest is a great place to organize your ideas explore other people inspiration. You gather images from the web on boards labelled at your convenience. Of course, currently the more active boards do have Halloween in their name. Public boards (and boards should be public) can be explored by everyone, everyone can repin one of your pin. This is why Pinterest is a great place to look for inspiration.
The asset of Pinterest is to keep the link to the original page where the image was found. If you pin a picture of a dish from a recipe, you will always be able to go back to that recipe. Just like the people who will find your board and pin.
Lets see how you can easily create a Halloween atmosphere. I like the bleeding candles. Easy to create, this is the perfect ornament for a Vampire host.
Speaking of vampires, if you plan a dinner with friends, you’ll have to think about the design of your table. Just have a look of the usage of a simple Vampire Fang as a napkin ring. Of course, it suits better with a black plate and a blood red napkin. You can use the Vampire Fangs in several different ways (take a look at the pumpkins). What about the costumes ? Of course, there are all the usual scary monsters. If you are more creative, you can think about something like the head in a jar for your kid. Creepy, but I assume it requires a lot of work.
Costumes for kids are easy to craft. But if your kid is a lot younger ? What about a baby in a carrier ? Of course you can imagine something like a two headed monster or other Alien related costumes. This creative mom succeeded in a very cute costume with her popcorn bucket.
Speaking of food, like every image-sharing media, you’ll find a lot of it. Mostly cakes, cookies or, of course, pumpkins.
Currently, I see a lot of witch hat cupcakes using ice cream cones. Easy to do for a great result. There are also a lot of brain looking dishes. Actually, it is really easy with a pipping bag to decorate your cupcake like a brain. You can even find some brains Cupcake Kits
There are also a lot of guacamole vomiting pumpkins this year. I don’t know if it may alter an appetite, but it looks great for the occasion. Of course, it suits for guacamole. For other kind of dipping sauces you may want to use the pumpkin as a container.
