January mini build at the LEGO Store
Here is the new year, so lets start a new year of minibuilds. Winter is here, so we need to be ready for the snowfall. This may be why this month’s mini build is a snowplough.
And yes, the opening of the Store in Disneyland is delayed. Again…
The snowplough mini build
This is a nice 36 pieces vehicle. The size is a little bit bigger than the Creator mini vehicles like the Mini Speeder (31000) or the Mini Fire Rescue (6911). But the scale difference is not that disturbing so you can easily add it to a collection of such scale vehicles. Actually this size is used in a lot of sets, have a look at the Construction Hauler (31005).
In my opinion, the best is to display it with the mini Volkswagen Camper van (you can still get it, but at a price…).
The Microfighter Millenium Falcon
Talking about the mini-scale, the Microfighters Star Wars series is out at the LEGO Store. I couldn’t resist to get the Millenium Falcon. You have to love the Chibi style but I think that it is the fun part of it. It looks like everybody does not appreciate the previous minimodels. Those are really less serious and more fun.
By the way, I may be wrong, but it looks like this is a new Han Solo with two faces. I like the face with the smile.
This month’s free gift
There is only one free gift this month, and you have to love the Friends series as it is Stephanie’s bakery stand. To get it, you just have to buy something from the Friends series and as we have some clearance sales for now, we took Stephanie’s Outdoor Bakery (3930). Yes, we got home with tho Stephanies, but with her outdoor bakery and the stand.
The LEGO Store in Disneyland
Lets finish with a word about the LEGO Store in Disney Village, next to the french Disneyland resort park. The last official communication from LEGO was an invitation for an opening scheduled on the january 14th. That event is canceled. New opening dates are supposed on the web trough different forums but this time, even the staff is unaware of the official opening. Some of them are back to the store in Levallois.
One more thing…
Because you’ll certainly not see this one. To celebrate the release of the Eiffel Tower in the Architecture series, LEGO provided a big scale of that model. Today, it was in front of the LEGO Store of Levallois.
