September mini build at the LEGO Store

In September, at the LEGO Store, we could have had expected something on the back to school theme. No, LEGO is extending our holidays. First with the mini build, then with the free gift. This month, the mini build is a nice pirate with a fancy hat and a peg leg.

The Pirate (D.Stankovski)

This is a 44 pieces build, and this is the second big scale model of the year. But there is a better reason to go to the LEGO Store this month…

This month, you’ll want to spend at least $75 or 55 € at the LEGO Store. You will then get the Mini Volkswagen T1 camper van for free (and a free shipping if you order online).

This is a 76 pieces polybag (40079). No, as I write this post, I didn’t opened it yet, but I saw it at the store and the model is awesome. This is a mini version of the LEGO Creator Volkswagen T1 Camper Van (10220), which is a 1,322 pieces model. Needless to say that the mini version is WAF compatible.

LEGO extended our holidays in some way with those two models. But there may be another reason why this month’s mini build is a big pirate. LEGO released this September a pirate minifigure pack with 2 seamen, 1 pirate captain, 1 pirate woman, a chest of gold and a map.

I do expect that the pirates will be back in a new range of LEGO products soon. What do you think ?
