March sounds like the return of spring, and that is exactly what awaited the kids at the LEGO Store. This month’s minibuild is a spring tree.
Well, spring tree… Lets say a fun spring tree straight from the Magic Kingdom of UniKitty…
This month, you are certainly waiting for the return of the Walking Dead. But for LEGO, February is the month of the LEGO Movie. So, the Mini Build had to be about the movie.
This black box robot is called a Micro Manager. There are already plenty of those in the boxes related to the movie, and this is certainly the simplest model.
I love December because the best day in the year is in December : Christmas. And of course, the December mini build must have been on the theme of Christmas. So the mini build is a nice rocking horse. But wait, it is not just a Christmas toy replica, it is also a nice Christmas tree ornament !
And by the way, we finally know when the LEGO Store at Disney Village will open…
Most of the web is filled with reviews and daily post of the content of the windows of the LEGO Advent Calendars. And I must confess that I also post one picture a day. I bother only those who are following me on Instagram and for some on Google+ as there is a great LEGO community there.
This year, I tried to post pictures linked to each other following the City calendar. We did the City and Star Wars calendars. Both of them comes with a display. But the Star Wars calendar mixes micro-scale vehicles with characters, so all the items are not consistent to be laid down on the same display. Besides, the City display has a better Christmas Spirit design. So I set the scene on the City display, showing also the Star Wars gift and including it when appropriate.
Those are the pictures of each day of the 24 windows content. This post will be of course updated each day until December 24th.
This is November’s mini build from the LEGO Store and this is a nice Lawn Mower.
But this month, it is not just about the mini build. It is also the first anniversary of our store near Paris and of course we are close to Christmas.
Coming along with the first Series 12 visual, this is the second trailer of the LEGO Movie.
If you look carefully, you can see that the Series 12 is a promotional series for the movie. The zombies, the cop, Abraham Lincoln, the workers… All of those are in the movie.
This series may be a big success among the fans who will create MOCs inspired from the movie.
What do you think about the movie ?
From Brick Fanatics, this is the first image of the minifigures Series 12 from LEGO.
I don’t really know what to think about this series. Of course, the panda guy is awesome. The 3 zombies are a great addition for all of us who are looking for a zombie outbreak scene. I missed the first Mexican guy, so that is a nice one for me. William Shakespeare will fit with the actor. Abraham Lincoln is great for his beard. But I’m not into the rest… We have plenty of cops in the City boxes, just as the construction workers. Actually, their asset is the phones 🙂
Actually, this is the opinion everyone will have seeing this series. If you are a LEGO fan, you may really love this series as most of the figures comes from the LEGO Movie.
What do you think about Series 12 ?
In September, at the LEGO Store, we could have had expected something on the back to school theme. No, LEGO is extending our holidays. First with the mini build, then with the free gift. This month, the mini build is a nice pirate with a fancy hat and a peg leg.
This is a 44 pieces build, and this is the second big scale model of the year. But there is a better reason to go to the LEGO Store this month…
